The Colomitos Jungle Coastline Hike is an exciting adventure that begins in the small but popular fishing village of Boca de Tomatlán, located at the southern end of Puerto Vallarta. From there, the hike takes you through a lush jungle, filled with stunning color contrasts and stairs built from natural roots.

The journey lasts approximately 40 minutes until you reach Colomitos beach. Along the way, you can find a small waterfall hidden in the hills behind the beach. It’s important to note that the trail can be rigorous and often changes or disappears during the rainy season, so it’s recommended to bring good footwear, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a swimsuit.

Once you arrive at Colomitos beach, you’ll be able to enjoy some relaxation time on the beach, swim in the calm waters, and discover a variety of tropical fish if you decide to snorkel. After some time on the beach, the hike continues to Las Animas.

In summary, the Colomitos Jungle Coastline Hike is a moderately difficult adventure experience that offers a unique combination of hiking, waterfalls, beaches, and the opportunity to explore the region’s rich biodiversity.
